Greetings Brothers of Rho Chi Lambda:
I am humbled and honored to be serving as the first Chapter President of Rho Chi Lambda in London UK. The journey to establishing this chapter was a unique and historic one. Hard work, motivation, dedication and boundless energy were the key ingredients that cemented the foundation for which Rho Chi lambda was to be built. One Brother and his vision were shared with Theta Theta Lambda as early as the spring of 2007 and the idea was supported with a proposal that led to the inception of Rho Chi Lambda.
Rho Chi Lambda could not have come at a more exciting time when the world is changing at such a rapid pace. A pace that Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity is used to, given its 105 year history in leading some of the most profound “social change issues” that has been known to man. As a newly established Fraternal Organisation in the United Kingdom, we will yet again embrace the legacy of our founding fathers to be the first in delivering the ideals of brotherhood from an African American perspective. A perspective that whilst rooted in our Afrocentricity will serve to embrace any man regardless of their background who can fully recognise and appreciate the principles of “education, leadership, community citizenship and brotherhood” and lend a hand to guide our young men.
I am delighted at the endless prospects of sharing our vision with many Primary Schools, High School College and Universities to inspire our youths and to pass on the baton that is symbolic of individual accountability, strength and that which will cultivate leaders for today, tomorrow and forever more.
