One might say this chapter is not only an international chapter; it is a technological chapter, as well.  The Chapter conducted its first service project on December 4, 2010.  Brother John H. Carter presented a Project Alpha Seminar to ten students at Richmond, the American International University in London via Skype.  He introduced the lecture by pointing out that” today is a special day for all of us who are members of Alpha Phi Alpha. All over the world, Alpha men will come together to celebrate the founding of our great organization on December 4, 1906 in Ithaca, NY. I cannot think a better way to celebrate Founders’ day than by kicking off Rho Chi Lambda’s first service project.  The title of my presentation today is “15 Minutes of Pleasure/A Lifetime of Regret! ”  The presentation, which was customized to include data and examples specific to the United Kingdom, concluded with a question and answer session on Alpha and its other service projects. Thus began the legacy of serving the needs of large masses of people, hungry for leadership and in need of honest, altruistic guidance in London, England.
